International Theater Kingfestival is one of the cultural brands of Veliky Novgorod and gathers the best performances of Russian and foreign theaters for all ages. The program includes performances, lectures, workshops, theater laboratories and exhibitions.

Novgorod Theater for Children and Youth Maly is a modern theater and a continuous participant of Harlequin Russian National Awards and the special program of Golden Mask National Theatre Award. Its repertoire includes 35 performances based on books by Alexander Pushkin, Marina Tsvetaeva, Anton Chekhov, Sasha Cherny and the Silver Age poets, as well as performances based on the works by Euripides, Daniel Defoe, Mark Twain and others.

Maly Theater is well-known in Russia and abroad as a theater company with its unique style and ability to work with modern and classical repertoire for both children and adults; drama plays, performances of puppet theater and object theater, modern dance are among its works.
