The Novgorod Theatre for Children and Youth “Maly” starts the official booking for the performances of the 13th International Theatre Festival “Kingfestival”, which will take place in Velikiy Novgorod on 17-21 April, 2015. The programme of the festival covers three theatre stages at a time – the plays are performed on the stage of the Philharmonic Concert Hall, the Novgorod Drama Theatre and the organizer of the festival – the Novgorod Theatre “Maly”. The festival is held with the support of the State and Social Support Programme for Theatres for Children and Teenagers patronaged by the President of Russian Federation and with the support of the Ministry of Culture of Russian Federation, the Union of Theatre Workers of Russian Federation, Russian National Centre of the International Association of Theatres for Children and Youth, Administration of Velikiy Novgorod.

The festival, which became the biggest theatre project in Velikiy Novgorod, takes place once in two years and gathers the best theatre plays of Russia, Europe and Asia in the field of legitimate drama, contemporary choreography and puppet theatre. This year the programme devoted to the mythological repertoire on the stage presents performances for the audience of all ages. 

During the five days of the festival the auditory from Novgorod will see 14 performances. The rich schedule of the festival includes 7 countries from Europe: plays from Russia, Germany, France, Lithuania, Austria, Finland and France.
