What is an audio guide?
Audio guide offers an excellent possibility to learn about the rich history and the unique sights of Veliky Novgorod, which are located in the historical center of the city – in the Kremlin and on the Yaroslav's Courtyard.
Guests of the city don't have to look for a personal guide or wait for the group tours to start because now, in any weather and at any hour of the day, they can use an audio guide.
How does an audio guide function?
Audio guide is a portable gadget that contains a pre-recorded tour around the Kremlin and the Yaroslav's Courtyard. History of the Novgorod Kremlin, St. Sophia Cathedral, Monument to the Millennium of Russia, Sophia Bell Tower, St. Nicholas Cathedral and Hanseatic Fountain – those are just the few of the fascinating tales about the Lord Novgorod the Great.
Beside the gadget, the tour set also features the disposable headphones and the map of the historical center of the city. Having taken the route map, tourists can easily find any directions within the Kremlin, and by pushing the corresponding number on the gadget they will start the tour around the city center.
At the audio guide rental points, managers will help you set the required language (Russian, English, French, German, Spanish or Chinese) and explain how to use the gadget.
How much does it cost?
The audio guide rent costs 400 rubles for 4 hours of use, every following hour costs extra 100 rubles. Each set features headphones and a map.
To get an audio guide you must leave your driving license or a deposit of 3000 rubles per person (the amount can be paid in cash or get temporarily «frozen» on your credit card).
