In 2022, Veliky Novgorod turns 1163! Welcome to Novgorod - the Birthplace of Russia - to celebrate this festive date!

City Day is a favorite holiday of Novgorod and guests of the city, which is traditionally celebrated in the second weekend of June. City Day celebrations are unusually bright and joyful, each time organizers try to surprise with something new.

The program includes festivals, sporting events, interactive programs, performances of artistic groups, fireworks.

During these days you can explore unique historical sights in the centre of the city – the Kremlin, Yaroslav’s Courtyard, as well as in the suburbs.

You can also take part in the motor ship voyage to the lake Ilmen. The ships start every day at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. and then they go from the pier every hour.
