Kudesy - musicians and singers, actors and teachers, pupils and their parents - modern keepers of traditional national culture of the Novgorod land. Kudesy made discoveries in study of folklore, formed the richest folklore and ethnographic archive, recreated holidays of the Novgorod national calendar: Christmas-tide, Pancake week, Easter, Whitsun, Ivan Kupala Day.

Folklore theatre Kudesy is one of the best Russian folklore collectives, it's included in the list of the international organization UNESCO Masterpieces of national culture of mankind.

Kudesy awarded the gold medal in the international folklore competition Orpheewa Darba (Bulgaria) and several Grand prix. It is the laureate of international and All-Russian competitions.

Kudesy has had the luck to represent the Novgorod folk art in Poland, Sweden, Norway, England, Germany, Italy, France, Moldova, Estonia, Latvia, Macedonia.

The art director of ensemble Kudesy is honoured art worker of the Russian Federation, the winner of the premium of Ministry of culture of the Russian Federation on development of national creativity The Soul of Russia, the candidate of pedagogical sciences and corresponding member of the International Academy of pedagogical sciences.
