The art exposition Cultural Heritage of Novgorod Cloisters includes pieces of modern painting and graphic arts.

Interactive city guide around the ancient architectural monuments, designed to introduce visitors to the abundant cultural heritage of monasteries of Veliky Novgorod, lets you take a virtual trip to the shrines of the Novgorod Land.

The exposition includes examples of the ancient frescoes of the unique 14th century architectural monument Church of the Dormition of Our Lady on Volotovo field.

An artistic part of the exposition includes 39 paintings and graphic works collected by The State Museum of Arts and Culture of Novgorod Land.

Veliky Novgorod is proud of the artists presented there: D.S. Kondratiev, I.I. Kushnir, G.M. Shtender, S.I. Pustovoitov, V.M. Chehonadskiy, V.V. Zhuravlev and modern artists.

The monasteries of Veliky Novgorod are introduced in 100 modern pictures and those taken in the beginning of 20th century, 60 copies of official documents and various electronic materials.

Guests will also find there a pamphlet containing information about the presented monasteries, a map with the given objects’ locations and directions for both individual and guided visits.
